“Like all explorers, we are all drawn to discover what’s waiting out there without knowing yet if we have the courage to face it.”

— Pema Chodron

We are all driven by an underlying current of desire - a desire for more, for improvement and growth. Sometimes these desire manifest as fear, anxiety, doubt, depression and anger. It is when we resist the natural flow of life, the steady rhythm forward, that we suffer. We owe it to ourselves and our own sense of well-being to pursue our dreams, to reach forward with confidence and clarity, knowing that to be who we wish to become is our obligation to ourselves, and our contribution to the world.

Clarity.

When we allow ourselves to quiet our minds, to silence the voices without that seek to influence us to pursue ideas and paths that align with their goals, we give ourselves the chance to hear our own inner wisdom. The more we listen within, the more clear we are in what we want and why we want it.

Confidence.

When we are clear in our own intentions, we gain a sense of confidence that we do not need others to validate our decisions or worth. There will always be those that find us foolish, ignorant, or “wrong”, but it is not up to them to decide how we feel about ourselves. Confidence is key to courage.

Connection.

It is important to know ourselves and own our identity and objectives. But the way to create true meaning in this life is to take our innate desires and interweave them into the tapestry of the world around us, connecting with others that can benefit from our unique perspectives, attitudes and ideas.
